COLUMBIANA, Ohio - Even the Nicest Place in America needs a little Christmas.

That's the philosophy in Columbiana, a town that's been named one of the best Hallmark Christmas towns by Reservations.com.

Hallmark cites the town's arts and crafts community, along with a major holiday light display as some of the reasons for making the list.

Coming in at number 19 of 25, Hallmark gave Columbiana four out of five stars in the areas of wintry scenery, friendliness, Christmas cheer, and small businesses.

"This small town starts Christmas early with an Old Fashioned Christmas in the Woods in October. Their support of artisans and craftspeople is sure proof of their small-town hardiness," the ranking reads. The Joy of Christmas light show, which features a gingerbread house and more than 80 light displays, was another factor that put the town on the list.

The honor comes only months after being named the Nicest Place in America by Reader's Digest.
