Today, Jed York, a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School, is CEO of the Super Bowl-bound San Francisco 49ers.

But 35 years ago, he was just short of five-years-old and happy to stand on a table with his hands atop two Vince Lombardi trophies.

Looking on is his grandfather,  Edward DeBartolo Sr., who had brought the Super Bowl XIX trophy back to the company headquarters in Boardman on January 23, 1985, three days after the 49ers defeated the Miami Dolphins, 38-26,  in Stanford Stadium.

This photo was taken by a Vindicator photographer but was not among those used in the paper the next day.

The San Francisco 49ers take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV on Sunday, February 2nd.
