VIENNA TWP., Ohio - All non-essential personal are being sent home at noon Thursday from the Youngstown Air Reserve Base for a second time this week due to concerns over a natural gas odor.

Weekend unit training duty has also been canceled at the base.

Dominion Energy Ohio crews were to the Youngstown Air Reserve Base after several people in several buildings reported smelling gas.

According to Dominion Energy's Neil Durbin, an inspection determined that all Dominion's facilities and equipment at the base are operating properly.

A base spokesperson told 21 News that the problem might be a release valve.

Durbin says Dominion crews remain on the scene to assist base personnel in inspecting the base's internal natural gas system to identify the source of any leaks and the repairs that must be made.

On Tuesday morning, all non-essential airbase personnel were evacuated after a gas leak was detected.

Dominion discovered that the problem was located in the base's piping system.
