POLAND TWP., Ohio - A small business owner in Struthers has made a significant investment to expand to a second location.

A grand opening was held Friday for the new Morgan Oil service station and store on Route 224 near the Pennsylvania line. Owner Mike Kassem has operated Morgan Oil in Struthers for 25 years. He says this larger second location will be open seven days a week and add 15 to 20 jobs. 

"I'm hoping this location will be a benefit for everyone, a win-win situation for me, for the community, for everyone involved," Kassem said. 

He said he choose the location close to the Pennsylvania line because he expects a lot of business from Pennsylvania due to its high taxes on gas, tobacco, and beer.  He also hopes the location will attract out of state truckers who make daily runs to the nearby landfill. 

The station has twelve pumps for gasoline and six for diesel fuel. Kassem says it will be a one-stop-shop for fuel, food, beverages, and lottery.
