YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Amid falling prices in the country, Trumbull County has among the lowest average gas prices in Ohio, and the lowest in the Valley's three-county region and experts predict even lower prices ahead.

You can find gas selling for less than $2 per gallon at several places.

According to the  AAA East Central Gas Price Report, the average price for a gallon of gas in Trumbull County is $2.09 per gallon compared to $2.12 in Mahoning County, and $2.15 in Columbiana County.

Those prices compare with the AAA national average of $2.38 and the statewide average of $2.24.

The average price of gasoline in the Youngstown-Warren area is $2.11, which is 17 cents cheaper than a month ago, according to AAA.

Gasbuddy.com predicts that the national average price of gasoline will fall to $2.29 by this weekend and to $2.19 over the next two weeks. Ohio will be among the states seeing the fastest decline in gas prices, according to Gasbuddy.
