5 students in Cortland's Lakeview school possibly exposed to coronavirus

CORTLAND, Ohio - Five students in Cortland's Lakeview School District were possibly exposed to coronavirus, Superintendent Velina J. Taylor confirmed.
It's unclear what grade they were all in but Taylor says at least one was in the elementary school, one was in the middle school and one was in the high school.
According to Taylor, they found out about this on Thursday, which is when the Ohio Department of Health officially confirmed the news of a Warren man who tested positive for coronavirus. However, health officials said that if you have not heard from them, there's no reason for you to be concerned about being in contact with this individual.
Taylor says the kids are self-quarantined and were not showing symptoms.
The school district will be closed on Friday, March 13 and Monday, March 16. They will then be closed from Tuesday, March 17 until at least April 3, which is in compliance with Gov. Mike DeWine's announcement on Thursday. DeWine called for an extended spring break over coronavirus concerns. Officials will revisit what to do on April 3.
