NEW CUMBERLAND, Wv. - People who like to gamble will have to find another way to try their luck for a while.

Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack, and Resort in New Cumberland, West Virginia has closed until further notice.

A letter from the venue's general manager says the decision was made to comply with a directive from the West Virginia Governor to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The popular attraction for many in the Valley joins other gaming sites that have temporarily closed during the outbreak including Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course and all gaming venues in Pennsylvania.
