You know the old saying, "no such thing as a free lunch?" Well, a long-time Warren business is proving that old saying wrong.

Cafe 422, located on route 422 in Warren, will begin offering complimentary lunches to hospital personnel, firefighters and police officers, EMT, and dispatchers.

Beginning Friday, March 20 through Friday, April 3, (Monday-Friday) between the hours of noon and 2 p.m., lunches can be picked up, one person at a time when the worker presents their work ID/badge.

"These individuals are diligently working to keep all of us safe, and we believe this is the way we can show our sincere appreciation. In addition, we will also be offering these meals to all Café 422 employees," according to the press release sent to 21 News.

The release goes on to say, "Since 1939, the people of the Mahoning Valley have supported our business. In this time of uncertainty, we have the opportunity to give back to those who are the most giving and dedicated among us."

Call ahead orders are not necessary, as there will be a predetermined menu. Café 422 says it will follow CDC guidelines and strictly enforce all social distancing protocols.
