AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - Severe weather Saturday caused an evacuation of the Austintown Walmart, fire officials believing the building may have been struck by lightning.
Fire officials said the zap might have caused a breaker to malfunction, causing it to start smoking.
The fire department was able to shut all the power off to the building around 2:15 p.m.
They said Walmart did a good job of getting shoppers out who were busy stocking up during the coronavirus crisis.
An electrician is on the way to fix the breaker.
No one was injured.
There's no word when the Mahoning Avenue business will be back open.
