NEW MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - With nursing homes across the state restricting access to protect their residents from coronavirus, a local man went above and beyond to visit his mother.
Charley Adams found a unique way to visit his mom in New Middletown by using his bucket truck.
Adams made the surprise visit after his mom was disheartened; she wasn't allowed to leave the facility.
She lives on the third floor, and the truck reached just perfectly.
"I PULLED UP THE TRUCK, SET UP THE BUCKET, AND I CALLED HER ON THE PHONE, AND I SAID MOM, LOOK OUTSIDE, LOOK OUTSIDE YOUR WINDOW RIGHT NOW, AND THERE I WAS."
Adams says he plans to revisit his mom later this week, once again using the bucket truck.
