The coronavirus is impacting how we honor loved ones at funerals.

Due to the pandemic, only a few family and friends gathered to say farewell to a well known and loved man from Green Township on Saturday.

Samuel Durr Senior, a retired steelworker, was proud to be a long time volunteer at the Greenford Christian Church.

His sons honored their dad's wishes, and a horse-drawn wagon took his body to the cemetery.

His sons hope to have a celebration of life ceremony at a future date.

The 77-year-old passed away after complications from a stroke.
