“Once something is on the internet, it’s out there forever.”  That’s what a police officer told a Warren woman who reported that a website had posted an obscene picture of her along with her real name and the state where she lives.

The 26-year-old woman called police on Thursday after a friend sent her the website link that posted a nude picture of her.

According to the police report, the website identified her and stated that she lives in Ohio.

The woman admitted that she was a heroin addict a few years ago and at the time met men in exchange for money. She said she may have posed for the picture but never consented to having it posted on the internet.

The woman told the officer that she has been “clean” for two years.  She now has a baby daughter and doesn’t want her to know about her past, she told police.

The investigating officer says the woman understood when he told her that the picture could be on the internet forever. However, she told him that she recognized pictures of other Trumbull County women on the website who she believes wouldn’t report it or even care.

She said it is very embarrassing and wanted to make a report.
