Warren police post new pictures to identify murder vigil participants

Warren Police have posted more pictures on the department’s Facebook page hoping to identify people who gathered for a candlelight vigil organized after a murder in the city.
The police Facebook page claims they have received “overwhelming” community support and were able to identify some of the people following an earlier posting of images, many of which were take from video of Sunday night’s gathering on the 1000 block of Kenmore Avenue.
Police were called to break up a crowd of about 100 people had gathered where 30-year-old Darryl Van Jackson was fatally shot a few days before the vigil.
Warren Mayor Doug Franklin has promised to charge organizers and those who took part in the vigil for violating the state's stay at home order.
In addition to violating social distancing orders, police say a fistfight broke out in the area.
Police are asking anyone who can identify those people in the pictures to contact them.
