A bride and groom in Canfield who had to postpone their wedding because of the coronavirus, got a big surprise Saturday afternoon.

Kevin and Hilary Johnson decided to say "I do" with immediate family only in the groom's home.

They decided to reschedule their ceremony and reception for September.

The Maid of Honor decided to surprise the couple with a drive-in reception in the parking lot of Kennsington Golf Club.

She reached out to ENdearing Events, the company that was planning the wedding for some help.

Together, in the middle of a pandemic, they managed to surprise the newlyweds.

"We did not expect or were told everyone was going to be here," said Johnson.

Friends and family members remained in their cars honking and cheering for the couple.

The DJ for their reception that was supposed to happen Saturday, played their first dance in the parking lot.

"I am so surprised. We are not center of attention people. So it's been different for us," said the bride.

They said all social distancing guidelines were followed.
