A Mercer County grocery store is baking cakes inspired by the recent hit Netflix documentary, "Tiger King."

D'Onofrio's Food Center on North Hermitage Road in Hermitage has created cakes to look like two of the main people featured in the series, Carole Baskin and Joe Exotic.

They also created a tiger face cake to go along with the documentary plot of big cat breeding.

"Tiger King" turned into an internet sensation as it was released while many states are under stay at home orders because of the coronavirus pandemic.

21 News Weekend Anchor, Caroline Collins, spoke with D'Onofrio's Bakery department.

They said the manager came up with the idea, created the designs and brought them to life.

The cakes cost $12.99.

So far, they have sold quite a few and are planning to continue making them for now.

In March, the bakery also created a Charmin toilet paper cake as the toilet paper shortage became a big topic on social media amid the coronavirus.
