Cafaro Foundation donates $30,000 to battle virus

NILES, Ohio - The Cafaro Foundation has announced that it is donating $30,000 to several local institutions that are helping the Valley deal with the coronavirus pandemic.
According to a media release, a gift of $10,000 is going to the Mercy Health Foundation of Mahoning Valley to assist in the mission of caring for those infected by the COVID-19 virus.
The United Way of Trumbull County will be receiving $10,000 to support the work it is doing to combat the virus in Trumbull County.
In addition, the Ohio Living Foundation and Warren Family Mission will each receive $5,000. The grants are to assist individuals and families who are experiencing hardships related to the pandemic, according to the Cafaro Foundation.
The Cafaro Foundation is a charity established by the Cafaro family in memory of William M. Cafaro, the founder of the real estate development and management company that bears his name.
