If you are walking or driving along East Parkside Drive in Boardman a small stand at the bottom of a driveway may catch your attention.

"There's such a need for it."

A small stand with hand made crosses sits at the bottom of 7767 East Parkside Drive with no price tag or donation jar aside them.

"We are such a crisis right now and everyone is getting a little bit nervous about all of it and where it's going to all end up and all so I think this is very important right now," says Ron Theis of Boardman.

For over 2 years Ron Theis has been hand carving these wooden crosses for ministries across the country and across the planet. So far he's made over 600 of them with each taking him roughly 4 hours to make.

"My hat says Psalm 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength, and when you live like that it gets a lot easier," adds Theis.

While Ron makes each of these crosses, hundreds at this point, it's not only helped him express his spirituality but it's helping him pass it along to everyone that stops by to grab one of these crosses.

"If you pray today and pray every time you get into a crisis like this you'll be better off and I hope I help other people do that," adds Theis.

The crosses don't wish to be purchased but just to serve as a sign, a sign of faith in a time where many may be looking for it.
