SALEM, Ohio - The Salem Area National Day of Prayer committee has come up with a new way to continue an event that draws out around 300 people each year.

On Monday, eight different speakers came together to record a video in honor of National Day of Prayer.

The video will be played online this Thursday.

This year they will also be praying for health care workers and first responders who are critical in the fight against coronavirus.

"IT IS PULLING THE WHOLE NATION TOGETHER IN A MATTER OF PRAYER FOR REVIVAL AND RENEWAL FOR OUR HEARTS TO FOCUS UPON GOD IN THE MIDST ESPECIALLY IN THE MIDST OF DIFFICULTIES THAT WE'RE FACING UNCERTAINTIES FEAR, said President of Allegheny Wesleyan College, Daniel Hardy Sr."

The video will be aired at noon Thursday on praysalem.org.
