LISBON, Ohio - Another person from Columbiana County has died because of the coronavirus.

County health officials reported Wednesday that the latest victim is a 78-year-old woman, bringing the number of deaths in the county to 31 since the outbreak began.

Of those deaths, 13 involved patients of long-term care facilities, and seven were inmates at the Elkton Federal Correctional Institution.

The health department does not give the name of the long-term facility where the woman who died had been staying

The Ohio Department of Health updates COVID-19 statistics from long-term facilities around the state each Wednesday.

The county also recorded three new confirmed COVID-19 cases.  To date, Columbiana County has had 295 people who tested positive for the virus.
