Boardman daycare owner reacts after reopening announcement

BOARDMAN, Ohio -
The owner of Precious Miracles Daycare on Market Street in Boardman said before the shutdown in late March they had about 50 children at a time in their care.
That has to change once they can re-open on the 31st.
The governor is requiring child care centers to undergo a reduction in class size and operate under reduced staff to child ratios.
Every child's temperature will have to be checked, intensified hand-washing practices will have to be in place and masks are recommended for caretakers.
"Handwashing will be done as soon as they come into the doors," said Sarah Tate. "Staff will take the kids to the sink. There will be designated areas where they will have to wash the kid's hands, their faces and their arms."
She said they will also be washing hands their hands all throughout the day.
Governor DeWine recommends that providers modify pick-up and drop-offs to ensure social distancing.
At Precious Miracles visitors, parents or guardians won't be allowed in.
"So the parents have to call when they are on their way so the kids are prepped and ready to go and the staff will walk them out the door."
Toys and surfaces will be sanitized throughout the day and children will be spread out.
