The Shenango Valley Chamber and Buhl Park have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Light up the Sky at Buhl Park fireworks celebration.
The Shenango Valley Chamber and Buhl Park have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Light up the Sky at Buhl Park fireworks celebration.
The event was to be held on July 5.
The chamber said they would preferer the local business community to use sponsorship dollars from the event to go toward other needs in the community or keeping their business going while also being concerned for the health and safety of a group, usually 15,000 to 20,000 people, gathering for the event.
The Shenango Valley Chamber said, "We did not come to this decision lightly, but again, we believed we need to pivot to the current needs of our community during this time."
