Almost two dozen dogs were seized from a home in Sandy Lake in Mercer County Thursday.

Agents with the Humane Society of Mercer County say 20 dogs were removed from the home after they say the owners became overwhelmed with the number of dogs there.

"The owners were a bit overwhelmed and got in a bit over their heads," said Paul Tobin, a humane agent with the Humane Society of Mercer County.

Officials say the dogs were all in fairly good health.

No charges have been filed against the owners and they relinquished the dogs without incident.
