FARRELL, Pa. -  Bond is set at $1 million for the suspect charged with the stabbing death of a Farrell woman.

Sabre Ryhem Chambers, 27,  of Sharon was arraigned Saturday on 44 charges.

Chambers is charged in connection with Thursday night's murder of 41-year-old Natasha Talley, who was fatally stabbed at her home on the 100 block of Wallis Avenue.

Witnesses told dispatchers that there was a large amount of blood and there were children in the home at the time.

Mercer County District Attorney Peter Acker told 21 News Friday that Talley was the mother of one of the three children at home.

He said Saturday that a young child belonged to Chambers and Talley, the other two children present belonging to Chambers.

Talley was found with nine knife wounds by Chambers's sister who was driving by the home when she saw the door open, according to Acker.

Ten officers from the Pennsylvania State Police were sent to the area to take charge of the investigation.

Chambers was later apprehended in New Alexandria in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania just outside of Pittsburgh.

Acker said Chambers is charged with criminal homicide as well as 18 counts of aggravated assault, 18 counts of simple assault, and endangering the welfare of children.

The next court hearing for Chambers is set for June 9.
