Reckless driving suspect nabbed after Canfield manhunt

CANFIELD TWP., Ohio - A manhunt in Canfield ended with the arrest of a Cleveland man wanted for reckless driving in Columbiana County.
State troopers began watching State Route 11 Sunday evening after learning that police from St. Clair Township Police were chasing a Chevy Malibu.
The car was reportedly traveling 120 miles per hour northbound on Route 11.
After the pursuit entered Mahoning County, the Ohio State Highway Patrol put spiked stop sticks on Route 11, flattening the car’s tires at the Western Reserve overpass.
The driver bailed out of the car when it stopped about 2 miles south of the US 224 exit in Canfield Township.
Using an airplane and a tracking dog, troopers and St. Clair police searched a Racoon Road neighborhood for about 45 minutes until they arrested 26-year-old Corte’s Buggs behind a home on Summit Road, south of Route 224.
Troopers say Buggs did not have a driver’s license and had two warrants for driving without a license.
He was booked into the Columbiana County Jail on charges of “failure to comply”, driving without a license and other traffic offenses.
