Charges filed against Farrell protester hit by car

Charges have been filed against four people in connection with a June 5 Black Lives Matter protest in Farrell, including a man who was struck by a car.
Farrell Police have charged 45-year-old Jason Howell of Sharpsville with recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct, and obstructing highways.
According to a criminal complaint, Howell was struck on Division Street by a car being driven by 33-year-old Amanda Hogenmiller as a group was protesting the police-involved death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
Hogenmiller faces a June 26 court hearing on charges of recklessly endangering another person, simple assault, and careless driving.
Three others are charged in connection with the June 5 Farrell protest including 39-year-old Marquis Lampkins of Sharon who has been outspoken on social media about the death of Floyd.
Lampkins, who was also one of the protesters who camped outside the Farrell city building until charges were filed against Hogenmiller, is charged with failure to disperse after a police order, obstructing highways, and disorderly conduct.
Twenty-two-year-old Johnathan Parry of Hermitage is charged with obstructing a highway, disorderly conduct, and recklessly endangering another person
Naomi Patterson, 34, of Sharpsville is charged with failure to disperse, obstructing a highway, and disorderly conduct.
All four have been issued a summons to answer the charges in district court on July 17.
