Mahoning Treasurer's office closed to public, but tax bills on the way

YOUNGSTOWN - Although coronavirus precautions continue to keep the Mahoning County Treasurers Office closed to the public, staff members are busy sending out tax bills.
Treasurer Dan Yemma announced on Friday that his office continues performing duties essential to the operation of Mahoning County with the full staff reporting daily during normal office hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Yemma says he plans to continue this method of operation through second-half tax collection with tax bills being sent early. The bills, which are already being mailed, will begin arriving the week of June 22.
All tax payments must be made by check or money order through the mail or online from a bank account or using a credit card. The deadline for on-time payment is Friday, August 7.
The office will arrange one-on-one meetings with taxpayers if “absolutely necessary” by exception only. Meetings may only be arranged through an appointment.
Inquiries should be directed to Treasurer’s office 330-740-2460 and mahoningcountyoh.gov.
