SLIPPERY ROCK TWP., Pa. - A woman was taken to the hospital after falling about 15 feet at a Pennsylvania state park Saturday afternoon.

Officials say the 45-year-old woman from Irwin, Pennsylvania was hiking on the rocks near Slippery Rock Creek in McConnells Mill.

She was with her husband and other family members when she fell into a crevice between the boulders.

Authorities said she hit her head and started bleeding but never lost consciousness.

It took rescuers about an hour and a half to get the woman up to the top of the hill.

She was taken by helicopter to UPMC Presby in Pittsburgh.

There's no word yet on her condition.
