Precautions due to the coronavirus pandemic have prompted Youngstown and Warren to join other Valley communities to call off fireworks and other traditional Independence Day parades, festivals, and other activities. However, a handful of communities will have some type of celebration. Some of the events have been scaled down.

Austintown is planning a Sept 12 Freedom Weekend Parade Austintown. Fireworks at Austintown Plaza.

COLUMBIANA COUNTY

Guilford Lake

July 4 - Guilford Lake’s Annual July 4th Boat Parade, 2 p.m. Prizes. Starting at the boat dock.

Lisbon

July 4 - Third annual Firecracker Beer Mile - noon -Every quarter mile runners will chug a beer and finish at Numbers Brewery 127 N Beaver St Lisbon, Ohio 44432.

LAWRENCE COUNTY

Neshannock Township

July 4th fireworks, Pearson park. Neshannock township’s annual fireworks display will be at 10:00 p.m. July 4, 2020 by Pyrotecnico. Due to Governor Wolf’s COVID-19 gathering restrictions, there will be no viewing of fireworks from inside the park. Pearson park will close at 8:00 p.m. and fireworks can be viewed throughout the township.  The Neshannock Township Police department will assist in the closing of Pearson Park.

MAHONING COUNTY

Canfield

July 4 - Freedom 4 Miler, Canfield Fair Grounds. Due to regulations, this event will happen in multiple heats, starting at 6 a.m. and the last heat at 10:30 a.m.

Canfield 

July 4 - Fireworks Canfield Fairgrounds - 8 p.m. A limited number of vendors will be selling food at the event. People are advised not to congregate and remain in their cars. Admission $10 per carload.

MERCER COUNTY

Grove City

July 4 - Grove City Fireworks - 9:30 p.m., attendees of the show are asked to park in the parking lot of the schools or college to enjoy the show safely from your car or with safe social distancing. Free admission.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

Bazetta Township

July 4 - Trumbull Co. Fairgrounds, 899 Everett Hull Road, Cortland. Food concession trucks enter through Gate A. Starts at noon, a parade of 25 senior members of the junior fair at 7 p.m., followed by fireworks beginning at 9:30 p.m. Free admission.

Newton Falls

Newton Falls July Fourth Celebration – Saturday, July 4th, 2020

5 p.m. – Food trucks on Broad St. between Center and Canal Streets

7 p.m. – Arliss Walker and the Southern Outlaws in front of First Christian Church, 17 North Center St.

9:30 p.m. – Rededication of park at 17 North Center St. to Liberty Park

Children's events all evening. Social distancing mandatory. The elderly and those with compromised immune systems should not attend.
