YOUNGSTOWN - Children will not have to go hungry this summer thanks to the Youngstown Parks and Recreation Department.
Beginning Wednesday, July 8, 2020, the department will be distributing Grab-n-go meals at two locations.
Children from the ages of 5 to 17 can pick up two meals per day at Lynn Park, 1940 Lynn Ave., and John White Park, 2300 Kimmel Street.
Meals may be picked up daily through August 14 between the hours of noon and 1 p.m.
The food may not be eaten at the pickup sites to prevent congregating during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Summer Food Service Program meals are sponsored by the Children’s Hunger Alliance and are available while supplies last.
