Driver rescued from underneath car after rollover crash in Lawrence County

SHENANGO TOWNSHIP, Lawrence Co., Pa. - Police are investigating after a rollover crash in Lawrence County sent one person to the hospital.
The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. Thursday in Shenango Township right in front of the Shenango Center Shopping Plaza.
Police said the driver went off-road on East Washington Street, hit a sign and flipped over.
A small fire erupted in the engine compartment but was quickly put out, according to authorities.
The driver was ejected and trapped underneath the vehicle, later being rescued by first responders.
Police said rescuers used airbags and power tools to free the victim, whose leg was trapped underneath the vehicle.
The victim was flown to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown for treatment.
There's no word yet on their condition or the cause of the crash.
