The Mercer County Director of Elections Jeff Greenburg's last day on the job will be July 31. Greenburg has submitted his letter of resignation to county commissioners.

Greenburg, 60, has been the director since January 2007. He has accepted a position with the National Vote at Home Institute to be the Northeast United States Regional Director starting in August.

“I am grateful and humbled to have served the voters of Mercer County for 13 ½ years and understand the difficulty of replacing an election director in a presidential election year,” Greenburg said.

During his tenure, the county transitioned from a touchscreen voting system to a paper-based hand-marked paper ballot system while also managing significant changes in the election law.
