Sen. Brown talks continued unemployment benefits for coronavirus relief

The U.S. Senate continues to negotiate the next round of coronavirus stimulus which will again include direct payments to Americans.
What it won't include is a payroll tax cut that was heavily favored by President Trump.
Senator Sherrod Brown spoke to 21 News Thursday afternoon.
He says as more people find themselves out of work, an extension to the federal enhanced unemployment benefit is essential.
"I want to put money directly in people's pockets that's one reason I support the unemployment extension. These are unemployed workers who get the $600. I think everyone under a certain income, wherever we set that, should get the $1250 payment. The president's payroll tax cut is the wrong way to go," said Brown.
The current covid-related enhanced unemployment benefits expire next Friday.
