A family escaped a house fire Wednesday afternoon in Braceville Township. 

Trumbull County Dispatchers say the fire broke out at a home near the intersection of Route 82 and Route 5. 

The road was shut down in the area as crews worked to put out the flames. 

Officials on scene said a man, woman and two kids were able to get out of the home.

The cause remains under investigation.
