Two Austintown Township men who were arraigned in court Wednesday face felony child pornography charges.

The investigation involves two iPhones allegedly pawned at a shop in Austintown. Apparently what was on those phones led the pawn owner to call the police. That led to a quick investigation by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force.

Authorities got warrants to search the Nassau Court home of Ryan Marenkovic, 44  and the Oak Trace home of Robert Basic, 44.

Marenkovic is charged with two counts of pandering sexually-oriented material involving a minor.
Basic is charged with one count pandering obscenity involving a minor.

Marenkovic allegedly pawned the i-phones but denies downloading child pornography.

Police say Basic was "unsure" if a phone he sold to Marenkovic contained child pornography

The owner of the pawn store in question says he can't speak specifically about the case,
but warns would-be criminals that bringing in stolen or questionable material to a pawn shop is not a good idea.

"First off you're giving us your I.D. It's valid. There are over 30 cameras in the store with today's technology. We report all items on a daily basis what we bring in. We run serial numbers and all that. It's just not smart for criminals to try to utilize a pawn shop to unload stuff," said Austintown Pawn Inc. owner, Robert Carney.

Laptops, phones, and other evidence gathered during the searches have been turned over to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation Forensics Lab.
Investigators say more charges could be filed once experts look through the evidence.

Bond for each man was set at $25,000.
