MAHONING COUNTY, Ohio - The Mahoning County OVI Taskforce announced that two sobriety checkpoints would be held in Mahoning County on Friday, September 4, and Saturday, September 5, to intercept and deter impaired drivers. 

The first checkpoint will be at 4121 South Avenue in Boardman near the Sparkle Grocery store from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m.

The second will be on Rt. 224 at Marinthana in Boardman from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. 

Saturation patrols will also be conducted throughout the weekend.

Those who will be consuming alcohol are encouraged to make good decisions not to drink and drive.
