New Campbell Library inside CLWCC opens Wednesday

CAMPBELL, Ohio - The Campbell branch of the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County will be opening to the public at noon on Wednesday in its new location, the CLWCC (Campbell Community Literacy Workforce and Cultural Center).
Library Executive Director Aimee Fifarek said, "The Library is pleased to be able to bring full library services back to Campbell. As a founding partner in the CLWCC project, the Library congratulates Superintendent Matthew Bowen and his team on creating an amazing facility that will bring enormous economic benefits to the area. We also express our gratitude to the Campbell Schools for hosting our Campbell Library Express in the D'Amato Field House when the branch needed a temporary location."
Matthew Bowen, Superintendent of Campbell Schools, said, "Our public library was the first partner of the CLWCC. Their early commitment, before any other organization, was a true testament to their commitment to education, not only to students but all generations in the Campbell community and greater region."
The 3,300-square-foot Campbell Library has a collection of over 9,500 items comprised of both adult and youth materials for all ages, including popular materials, movies, large print, fiction, and nonfiction.
The youth area is designed to facilitate hands-on learning.
Once in-library programming can again begin, the Library plans presentations, which will include programs with a STEAM focus, such as circuits, mini-robots, and more.
The Campbell Library will offer laptop lending for in-library use, plus copy, fax, and scanning services.
The lobby features a library-materials vending machine for borrowing materials when the library is closed.
Coming soon: a lobby pickup locker that will enable patrons to retrieve materials they have on hold.
At this time of COVID-19 restrictions, building capacity is limited to 13, and all patrons must wear masks or face coverings over the nose and mouth, not only in the library but in the entire CLWCC facility.
Library hours for the public starting on September 9 are:
Monday-Thursday, from 12 - 7 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
