YOUNGSTOWN - A valley family in need of Miracle prepares for the worst as the community comes together to show their support.

The owners of Parto's Golf Learning center on Coitsville - Hubbard Road hosted Michael's Miracle Golf Outing Fundraiser.

Six-year-old Michael was diagnosed with a rare fatal neurological illness called Batten disease.

They say Michael has already lost his hearing and his vision and he will soon become immobile and lose his ability to speak.

The family says they're thankful for the help during this difficult time.

Another event was also taking place at Deer Creek Golf Course Saturday.

The money raised will help with treatment costs and other expenses that will occur as Michael goes through treatment.
