Burned car in Columbiana has tie to unidentified body found in W.Va.

NEW CUMBERLAND, W.VA.- Hancock County sheriff's department are investigating a body that was found in a wooded area in the township on Sunday, Sept. 20. The Charleston, W.VA coroner said the unidentified body is that of a Caucasian man, in his 20s or early 30s and heavily tattooed.
The man had been shot in the head.
A car key discovered with the body was determined to belong to a rental car found burned in southern Columbiana County several hours earlier.
According to police report, Columbiana County Sheriffs Department received word a burning car in the 1700 block of McIntosh Road in Madison Township around midnight Sunday.
The burned car was a 2020 Range Rover that was rented from an Enterprise Car Rental facility. A call to the Columbiana County Sheriffs Department said that while there appears to be connection to the burned car found in the county, they are not investigating the murder and the department is working closely with the Hancock County Sheriffs Department on the case.
A call to the Hancock County Sheriffs Department said that there are no updates on the case or the identity of the body found.
