Twin sisters survive breast cancer

WARREN, Ohio - Being Diagnosed with breast cancer later in life can be a very trying experience and now twin sisters diagnosed with the disease after age 80 are sharing their story.
Twin sisters Mary and Barbara Busko were faced with the fight of their lives when they were each diagnosed with breast cancer in their early 80's.
The pair, aged 86 now, beat cancer together and now warn others of the importance of breast exams.
"KEEP UP WITH THE MAMMOGRAMS. I WASN'T DIAGNOSED UNTIL I WAS 85, BARBARA WASN'T DIAGNOSED UNTIL SHE WAS 84. SO, YOU KNOW, STAY WITH THOSE MAMMOGRAMS. THEY ARE THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO FOR YOURSELF, YOUR FAMILY. THEY'RE LIFE SAVERS."
Mahoning county has one of the highest breast cancer rates in the state.
"YOU CAN LOWER YOUR RISK OF DYING OF BREAST CANCER BY CATCHING IT THROUGH EARLY DETECTION. THESE ARE VERY COMMON TUMORS. THEIR THE TOP 5 IN TERMS OF THE INCIDENTS OF CANCER IN WOMEN," said dr. roger tokars a radiation oncologist.

"KEEP YOUR SPIRITS UP. WE KNOW THAT it's HARD FOR PEOPLE TO THINK THAT IT'S GOING TO GET BETTER, BUT IT WILL GET BETTER."
