Youngstown police are investigating a homicide on the city's south side Friday morning.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Youngstown police are investigating a homicide on the city's south side Friday morning.
Police said the shooting happened just before 1 a.m. on the double-digit block of East Evergreen Avenue.
Officers arrived after hearing reports of gunfire to find a man in a vacant lot with a gunshot wound.
The vehicle near him had its back window blown out.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Police and the coroner's officer are investigating.
No arrests have been made and the victim's name has not been released.
