Warren man accused of dousing neighbor with hot coffee, smashing pot on his face

WARREN, Ohio - A Warren man is in jail awaiting a court appearance for allegedly throwing hot coffee on a neighbor and striking him with the empty pot.
Warren Police arrested 25-year-old Jaqwan Johnson at the Fairview Gardens apartments on Wednesday after officers were called to investigate two men who were fighting.
According to a police report, Johnson attacked a 24-year-old neighbor with a pot of hot coffee after the two had been arguing.
After pouring the coffee on the victim, police say Johnson smashed the coffee pot on the victim’s face, causing a severe cut.
The report says Johnson then brandished a knife blade toward the victim, who then ran back to his apartment.
Johnson is scheduled for video arraignment in Warren Municipal Court Thursday afternoon on a charge of felonious assault.
The victim told police he did not need to go to the hospital.
