Electricity has been restored to more than 5,000 homes and businesses that lost power in the Trumbull and Mahoning County area.

According to the FirstEnergy website, 3,526 people were without power in Trumbull County and another 2,117 were the dark in Mahoning County Sunday afternoon.

Most of the Mahoning County outages were in Boardman.

Trumbull County's outages were more widespread with 1,790 in Bazetta Township and 719 in Braceville Township. Another 499 outages were reported in Mecca Township.

Severe weather is listed as a reason for the outages.
