A Valley native made a chair turning appearance on "The Voice" Monday night.

Poland Seminary High School graduate Julia Cooper appeared on the NBC show and is now on Team John Legend.

Her performance of "Alaska" by Maggie Rogers was so good it turned three chairs almost immediately.

She's currently in Nashville, majoring in commercial songwriting.

"I'VE OBVIOUSLY ALWAYS AN OPPORTUNITY LIKE THIS BECAUSE REALLY I JUST, MY BIGGEST THING IS BEING ABLE TO SHARE MYSELF, MY MUSIC AND MY ARTISTRY WITH THE WORLD, YOU KNOW, AND I'VE ALREADY BEEN ABLE TO DO THAT SO MUCH SINCE I'VE BEEN HERE FOR THIS LONG, AND I REALLY HOPE THAT CONTINUES AND THAT'S KIND OF WHAT STARTED MY JOURNEY HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE," said Rogers.

We'll continue to follow Julia's journey as she progresses through the show.
