GM recalling 190,000 cars including Chevy Cruze models

General Motors is issuing multiple recalls for 12 car models affecting the automatic transmission of an estimated 190,000 vehicles.
General Motors notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of a safety recall which affects the automatic transmission, specifically the issue is described as, "The start/stop accumulator endcap may have missing or loose bolts."
General Motors states, "Missing bolts on the start-stop accumulator endcap could result in a transmission oil leak and may progress to a loss of propulsion, increasing the risk of a crash. A transmission fluid leak in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of fire."
The makes and models affected in the recall include:

BUICK/ENCORE/2019-2020
BUICK/LACROSSE/2018-2019
CADILLAC/XT4/2019-2020
CADILLAC/XT6/2020
CHEVROLET/BLAZER/2019-2020
CHEVROLET/CRUZE/2018-2019
CHEVROLET/EQUINOX/2018-2020
CHEVROLET/MALIBU/2018
CHEVROLET/TRAVERSE/2018-2020
GMC/ACADIA/2019-2020
GMC/TERRAIN/2018-2020
GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the start-stop transmission accumulator and replace it if any bolts are missing, free of
charge.
The recall is expected to begin December 14, 2020.
