SLIPPERY ROCK TWP., Pa. - Troopers say charges are pending against a 72-year-old New Castle woman involved in a deadly car-motorcycle crash in Lawrence County.

According to State Police, Mary Dean pulled her car into the path of a motorcycle as she was turning into a driveway on Ellwood Road in Slippery Rock Township Sunday evening. The motorcyclist attempted to stop, but couldn’t avoid running into the car, according to police.

The driver of the motorcycle, 43-year-old David Sedgwick of Ellwood City died.

Dean was not seriously injured, according to police.
