Some Ring Doorbells recalled over fire concerns

About 350,000 Second Generation Ring Video Doorbells have been recalled.
According to the recall, the video doorbell's battery can overheat when the wrong screws are used for installation.
The wrong screws pose a fire and burn hazard.
The recall is for Ring Doorbells with the model number 5UM5E5.
They have a blue ring at the front and come with a mounting bracket and a USB charging cable.
Anyone with the recalled product should stop using the doorbell and contact Ring for new installation instructions at 800-656-1918.
A Ring spokesperson says the company has contacted customers who purchased a Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) to make sure they received the updated user manual and follow the device installation instructions. Customers do not need to return their devices.
Ring says they have received 85 incident reports of the incorrect doorbell screws installed with 23 of them igniting. There have also been eight reports of minor burns.
