Suspects take off after stealing car at gunpoint on YSU campus
Youngstown State University police are investigating an armed robbery that happened late Saturday night in a campus parking lot.
Police say two male suspects approached a man getting out of his car in the M90 Lot across the Cafaro House around 11:45 PM. One suspect was armed with a gun with a silver top and black handle.
Both suspects approached the victm as he exited the vehicle and then took the car at gunpoint. The suspects fled south on Elm Street then headed towards the East Bound Service Road away from campus.
No injuries were reported.
Both suspects are described as dark skinned, around 5'10 wearing a black or navy blue hoodie and jeans with a Covid mask on and hood up. Anyone with information is asked to call the Youngstown State University Police Department at (330) 941-3527.
