AUSTINTOWN TWP., Ohio - 21 News has obtained photographs of the damage done to a Mercedes-Benz when state troopers say Cleveland Cavalier’s star Kevin Porter Jr. was involved in a rollover crash in Mahoning County.

Responding to a public records request submitted by 21 News, the patrol released three pictures showing exterior damage and broken windows on Porter’s 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE.

Troopers say the car overturned along Interstate 76 in Milton Township at around 2 a.m. Sunday.

Porter, the Cav’s standout guard, was not injured and cooperated with investigators according to troopers.

The patrol said it appeared that Porter was fatigued at the time of the rollover crash and they don’t believe he was impaired.

Troopers say they found a .45 caliber handgun and suspected marijuana in the car.

Porter has been charged with one felony count of improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle, as well as misdemeanor counts of not having a valid operator’s license, failure to control his vehicle, and drug abuse.

According to officials in Mahoning County Court in Austintown, Porter’s attorney faxed a ‘not guilty’ plea on Monday, relieving Porter of having to appear before a judge.

A preliminary hearing for Porter will be set for a future date.

The Cleveland Cavaliers organization released the following statement on Porter's arrest:

“We are aware of the situation involving Kevin Porter Jr. and are in the process of gathering information. We have spoken with Kevin and will continue to address this privately with him as the related process evolves.”

Porter was freed from the Mahoning County jail on bond Sunday.
