YCSD giving Thanksgiving meals to McGuffey Elementary students
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Youngstown City School District is giving out Thanksgiving dinner to students at McGuffey Elementary School Tuesday.
The school will give out 500 meals across three schools through a donation from Sodexo Roth, a local facility management company.
The donation was enough to ensure a Thanksgiving dinner for another 300 families in the district in addition to the McGuffey students.
"It was important to the team that, even in the midst of the pandemic, to make sure that our families know that we are still here, still support them and wish them a wonderful Thanksgiving," said Eboni Williams, fifth-eighth grade principal at McGuffey.
School representatives will drop the food off from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday to the families.
