Academic Distress Commission unanimously approves Youngstown City School District Strategic Plan

Ohio's Academic Distress Commission (ADC) unanimously approved the Youngstown City School District's plan to guide its academic and curricular work for the next decade, officials said Wednesday.
The plan YOUprint 2030 is a strategic plan that focuses on improving the district's academic position today while keeping an eye on the next 10 years said Justin Jennings Youngstown City School District CEO.
The plan is built from a more in-depth outline from curriculum guides, the ONE PLAN (District/School Improvement Plans) and the Ohio Department of Education Learning Standards.

He also added. "This plan represents a watershed moment in the way we will educate Youngstown's scholars now and in the future."
According to the plan, the district must follow evidence-based educational practices cultivate partnerships with parents and the community to ensure that scholars meet and surpass state educational standards.
